On March 11, a seminar titled “Magnets for a Sustainable World” was organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), the JSPS Stockholm Office, the Sweden-Japan Foundation (SJF), and the Embassy of Japan in Sweden. Dr. Masato Sagawa (Adviser, Daido Steel Co., Ltd.) delivered a lecture and shared his experiences inventing the sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnet.
The lecture was followed by a series of follow-up presentations and a question-and-answer session, and concluded with a reception.
